CDF manages multiple platforms with dedicated servers as well as hosted solutions. We require assistance in managing and maintaining our network to optimize its efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage dedicated and hosted server solutions at CDF Design, install and optimize CDF servers Assist in managing the physical security and performance of servers Assist in maintaining maximum performance level of servers at all times Candidate Requirements:
Minimum bachelors level education with high GPA Sound technical background 2+ years experience in server maintenance and network administration Ability to provide onsite and remote technical support at all times Have a sound knowledge of open source and commercial servers for setting up optimum environment Have worked in an organization where up-time is very critical Can design backup and restore solutions Can handle and give advice for high bandwidth requirement solutions Experience in setting up Apache and PHP web servers in a Linux environment Hands on Linux experience on Fedora Core Experience in setting up and maintaining mail servers (Zimbra/Exchange) Have deployed and maintained Asterisk or similar VOIP solution Knowledge about web server settings for high performance and scalability Knowledge about web server caching Familiar with database performance issues (setting up indexes, setting up replication on multiple databases etc) Has setup a Windows based LAN environment with privileges and scripts running to provide security and stability
